Background & Continuing Education

In 1995, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of Missouri-Rolla (Missouri University of Science and Technology). I attended graduate school at the University of Kansas in the Microbiology/Molecular Biosciences department from 1997 to 1999. After working in office jobs, I went back to school and got my Massage Therapy Certification from MTTI/Wellspring in 2011. In 2013, I began teaching at Wellspring.

The first step in my massage career was working in a medical massage clinic for two and a half years. I learned many new techniques and was able to help clients who had a wide variety of musculoskeletal pain problems. 

From there, I worked in a salon and day spa to expand my relaxation techniques. In 2015, I ventured out on my own with Chance Massage Therapy where I practice in both Overland Park and Lawrence.

Continuing education is very important to me. I take 20 to 40 hours of continuing education every year (12 is the required minimum) in order to expand my skills and knowledge.
